Eathie is designed for three skeins of yarn, the pattern is written for DK or 4ply Weight but could equally be used for Sport Weight – the original design is in Shetland DK and a discontinued yarn, but any of the yarns in the shop could be used to knit your own beautiful version of Eathie.

This shawl starts from a single point and gentle waves and lacy chevrons spread out in an asymmetrical triangle.

The Eathie Shawl pattern will knit up beautifully in three skeins of Shetland DK or Shetland 4ply/Sport (Coulmore DK or 4ply and Gotland DK would also work well).

Eathie captures the beauty of a winter walk on the beach, with gentle waves and lacy chevrons spreading like the vast horizon.  Staring from a single point it is a relaxing knit which is easy to adapt to use up every scarp of your yarn.
