Alex, of Hen in a Glen, designed this beautiful cowl after designing The Ties That Bind Us, Mittens s as part of Winter 2022/23’s Hirsel Collection. Inspired by the festive holidays and new year – a time for gatherings and remembrance of family and friends. People and hearts circle the mittens representing those we love. The tie cord around the wrist represents the ties that bind us and also acts to tighten up your cowl for extra cosiness.
The cowl has been knitted in the round from the bottom up using Auchen Light DK which produces a really cosy knit. The joyful colourwork design is enclosed top and bottom with a moss stitch rib. The top rib includes eyelets for the cord. the cord is finished off with two wee pompoms.
